The Construction operation of Shalamcheh Frontier terminal has been started on the shared border of Iran and Iraq.

Mohammad Javad Atrchian, head of Transit and Frontier Terminals of RMTO, announced this news in his interview with ILNA correspondent and added: “currently the Shalamcheh Frontier Terminal is under construction on the shared border of Iran and Iraq in Khoozestan Province in an area 15 kilometers far from the city of Khoramshahr and in field with 5 hectares surface and 200 square meters building surface”.

He also reported that the construction of the Mehran Frontier Terminal in the South west of the country in Ilam Province and in an area 85 kilometers far from the central city of the province in field with 12 hectares surface, has been started.

The head of Transit and Frontier Terminals of RMTO also mentioned: “based on current reports, the construction operation of “Milk” frontier terminal on the shared border of Iran and Afghanistan in Sistan and Balushestan Province has been started near to Milk Bridge on the Shore of Hirmand River in a land with 5 hectares surface”.

He pointed to the reconstruction and renovation operations in Incheh Boroon Frontier Terminal in Golestan Province on the shred border of Iran and Turkmenistan and added: “based on recent reports, the Lotfabad Frontier terminal in Khorasan Razawi Province on the shared border of Iran and Turkmenistan is under operation with all necessary facilities and equipments”.

This official authority also reported that the renovation of Mirjaveh Frontier Terminal in an area 86 kilometers far from Zahedan in Sistan and Baluchstan Province on the shred border of Iran and Pakistan in a land with 17,000 square meters surface and 7,680 square meters building has been carried out with more than 8 billion Rials capital fund.
