The 3rd Asia- Europe Road Transport Forum opened in Beijing with the core topic of “Road Transport – Linking Bridge between Asia and Europe”.

China’s News Agency reported that more than 300 delegations from various countries and 400 representatives from China participated in this meeting.

This forum was jointly hosted by International Road Transport Union and Ministry of Communications of China in Beijing. In this 3 day forum, participants discussed about potential capabilities of road transport sector in South East Asia, international cooperation between China and neighboring countries, development of road infrastructural facilities in Asia and Europe, and establishing logistic bases in Europe and Asia

By the side of this forum Asia-Europe transport ministers meeting will be held and high ranking officials from 15 countries of these two continents will discuss about possible ways of expanding mutual cooperation between Asia and Europe in road transport area.
