In the first quarter of this year, 14,760 tons of various types of cargos have been transited by 511 trucks via Bilehsavar Frontier Terminal as non oil export consignments to neighboring countries.
This figures show a 60 percent increase comparing to the same period in last year which were 9,249 tons of cargos transited by 347 trucks.
Shahpour Azarvand, head of Public relations office of Ardebil Terminals and Transport Headquarter said this issue and added: “encouraging non oil exports, providing loading and unloading facilities within Bilehsavar’s TIR park court for local and foreign cargo transport fleets, issuing permits for using Azerbaijani fleets for export cargos transition and equipping standard inspection laboratories established in Bilehsavar frontier terminal are among the most important factors leading to a significant increase in non oil exports through this frontier terminal.
